I’m not going to teach you anything today.

Today I’m going to show you how my dog sleeps.

Christopher does not sleep like a normal dog. He sleeps like a stunt double who forgot he’s off the clock. Under a stack of pillows, only visible if you know to look. Upside down on the couch, all four legs in the air like he’s been declared deceased. Hanging halfway off the ottoman like gravity is a suggestion he’s personally opted out of.

I’ve stopped trying to understand it. I’ve started just documenting it.

It’s been a full week — for me, and honestly for him too, judging by the commitment level in some of these poses. So today we’re both taking it easy. He’s got the sleeping covered. I’m just going to sit here and enjoy the weekend.

Happy Friday. Go rest like nobody’s watching. Christopher certainly does.
