Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information carenglasser.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Caren Glasser ("I", "me"). I've tried to write it the way I'd explain it to a friend. If anything here is unclear, email me at caren@carenglasser.com.

What I collect and why

When you join the newsletter

The signup forms on this site (The Smart Stack newsletter, and the training signup on the training pages) ask for your first name and email address. Some forms also send the page you signed up from. I use this to send you the newsletter and occasional updates about trainings and resources. The forms send your details to GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), the email and CRM platform I use to manage my list.

When you book a call

The booking calendar on the Connect page is provided by GoHighLevel and loads from gen.carenglasser.com. When you book, it collects the details the form asks for, such as your name, email, phone number, the time you picked and anything you choose to tell me. I use this to schedule and prepare for our conversation and to follow up afterward. The calendar may set its own cookies to work properly.

When you email me

If you email me, I'll have your email address and whatever you include, and I'll use it to reply.

Analytics and advertising, only if you say yes

If you accept analytics cookies, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WYC0NVQM4B) with IP anonymization turned on. It tells me things like which pages are read, how people find the site and which links get clicked, including signups, booking starts and clicks to Your Smart Stack. If you accept marketing cookies, the site loads the Meta Pixel, which lets me measure and improve ads on Facebook and Instagram and show my ads to people who've visited.

Neither one loads until you choose to allow it in the cookie banner. If you reject them, they never load.

The chat assistant

The Smart Stack Assistant chat bubble runs entirely in your browser. It matches your question against a set of prepared answers. Your messages are not sent to me or to any other service, and they are not saved. They disappear when you leave or reload the page.

Embedded video

Videos on the homepage and the Links page are hosted by Open.Video. They show a still image until you click play. Only then does the Open.Video player load. Once it does, Open.Video and its advertising partners may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing, under their own policies.

Things every website receives

Like any website, the server that hosts this site (Hostinger) keeps standard logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google's servers for them and shares your IP address in the process.

Cookies and how to change your choice

The site uses three kinds of cookies and browser storage:

• Essential. Always on. The site remembers your cookie choice and whether you've already signed up or closed a popup, using your browser's local storage. Nothing here is used for tracking.
• Analytics (Google Analytics). Off unless you allow it.
• Marketing (Meta Pixel). Off unless you allow it.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the button below to reopen the cookie settings. A change takes effect from the next page you load. You can also clear this site's cookies and storage in your browser, and the banner will ask you again.

Who else sees your information

I don't sell your personal information. I share it only with the services that help run this site:

• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): newsletter list, booking calendar and email.
• Google: Google Analytics (if you allow it) and Google Fonts.
• Meta: the Meta Pixel (if you allow it).
• Open.Video: the video player, once you press play.
• Hostinger: website hosting.

I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of this site and the people who use it.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, including my product Your Smart Stack(yoursmartstack.com) and the AI Roles Map (aitools.yoursmartstack.com), my video channel, and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy doesn't cover them. Please read theirs when you visit.

How long I keep it

• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
• Booking and email details: as long as needed to work with you and keep normal business records.
• Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• Your cookie choice: in your browser until you clear it.

Your rights, including California residents

Wherever you live, you can ask me to:

• tell you what personal information I have about you and give you a copy,
• correct it,
• delete it,
• stop sending you email (every newsletter has an unsubscribe link).

If you're a California resident, you have these rights under California law, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. I don't sell personal information. Allowing the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" for advertising purposes under California law, so to opt out, reject marketing cookies in the cookie settings above, or email me. I won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

To make a request, email caren@carenglasser.com. I may need to confirm it's really you before acting on it, and I'll respond within 45 days.

Do Not Track. Browsers handle "Do Not Track" signals inconsistently, and there's no agreed standard for responding to them, so this site doesn't change its behavior when it receives one. Instead, analytics and marketing tracking stay off unless you turn them on in the cookie banner.

Children

This site is written for adults running businesses. It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given me their information, email me and I'll delete it.

Keeping information safe

The site is served over HTTPS and I use reputable services to store your information. No method of sending or storing data online is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable care to protect it.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll update it here and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, I'll let newsletter subscribers know.
