Christopher Knows What Slow Looks Like

Christopher doesn’t rush anything. Not the walk to the food bowl, not the three full turns before he lies down, not the decision about which patch of carpet gets to be his for the afternoon. He takes his time and somehow, every single time, it works out fine.

I used to find that mildly annoying. This week, I found it instructive.

There’s a version of the last few weeks where I rushed the rebuild, forced a launch date before the ground under it was solid, and called it resilience. I’m glad that’s not the version that happened. The slow way took longer. It also took.

So today I’m taking a page from Christopher’s book. No rushing, no forcing, just moving at the pace that actually gets you somewhere real.
