Someone asked me a question on someone else’s post this week, not mine. What would change in your life if your business could run itself for a month?

I didn’t have to think long. Maybe I could sleep through the night. Maybe I wouldn’t be up at 4am with my brain already running through the day before my feet hit the floor.

That question sat with me longer than I expected.

Here’s what I’ve decided. I don’t need my business to run itself to take a little of that back. I just need to actually do it. Starting with something small. It’s finally cooled down here in the desert, 98 instead of 118, which counts as practically crisp around here, and that means Christopher and I can get outside again without either of us wilting five minutes in.

So that’s the plan this weekend. A walk. Some air that doesn’t feel like standing in front of an oven. No phone in my hand the whole time.

Christopher’s already at the door. He doesn’t need to be asked twice.
