I Made the Mistake So You Don't Have To

I jumped into the Muse craze for about a minute and a half.

I was hesitant from the start because it’s a Meta product. But I decided I needed to know what it was so I could talk about it. I make the mistakes so you don’t have to.

People I respect told me not to go down that rabbit hole. I went anyway.

I asked it to check my posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram for comments and draft some replies. That’s supposed to be what it does well, and it’s one of the only platforms I know of that can. When I set it up, it added a new account to my account. It also changed the birthdate on my account to someone else’s, because that was the account it added.

I removed it almost immediately. It had access I never gave it. The funny part is that Muse itself told me how to remove it.

My birthdate was still wrong, because Facebook made me wait a few days to change it.
