I Don't Do This Alone

A few weeks ago I posted something honest instead of something polished. I told you I was having second thoughts, not about the work itself, about whether I even wanted to keep doing this. The tools kept changing. The feeds were noise. I hit a wall and instead of hiding it, I wrote about it.

I almost didn’t post it.

Then the comments started coming in. “You never cease to amaze me.” “Whichever way you turn, you’ve got this.” “Keep on keeping on.” I sat there reading them like I’d never had a hard week in my life.

I run a business by myself. Most days that means I’m the one deciding, the one doubting, the one talking myself back off the ledge with nobody in the room to tell me I’m not being ridiculous. So when people showed up in the comments just to say some version of “we’ve got you,” it landed harder than I expected it to.

I didn’t need advice. Nobody handed me a five-step plan for getting my confidence back. They just showed up.

I don’t do this completely alone. I just forget that sometimes.
